Lake Fork Golf Course was founded in 1998 with a beautifully manicured 18-hole golf course designed by architects Gill and Williams. They are a full service, family oriented golf course located on the West Banks of the famous Lake Fork Reservoir (Bass Capital of Texas). The course, clubhouse and outdoor pavilion are all situated on 145 estate-like acres. A par 72 along the 6017 yard course will challenge any golfer’s ability with the many water hazards and over 2500 trees on the course.
LFGC has more than 2,000 trees consisting of native oaks, pecan, persimmon trees, among which golfers will find live oak, red oak, white oak, magnolia, Bradford pear and an assortment of crepe myrtle, scattered throughout the course. Lake Fork weather conditions allow the course to remain open year round, with winters that are generally mild and contained to January and February. Springtime is beautiful at our golf course. Summers can be mild to very warm, with temperatures ranging from 85 to 95 degrees. There will always be occasional 100 degree days in July and August, but summer is a beautiful time of the year, when our course comes alive with color and the trees and shrubs are in full bloom.
The course is located on the west banks of Lake Fork reservoir, approximately 90 minutes east of Dallas, Texas, and 50 minutes north of Tyler, Texas, and 20 minutes south of Sulphur Springs, Texas.
